History of Extreme Scene Review

YOWL!

Yowl! Come hither fellow Metal-Heads!

Hail and well met fellow metal heads. Obviously if you have stumbled upon this site, I or someone I know, (or someone that I know who knows someone who knows you etc!), has given you the link. And if someone gives someone a link nine times out of ten the link is self-explanatory or they have explained what the site is themselves. So you know what this site is about...I hope. For those of you who are in the dark about this FABULOUS (?) site I shall explain it. My name is Lee and I am into the extreme metal scene. I was so fed up of having to hunt high and low for a music magazine that knew what true metal was! The reason being? Next to know one AROUND knows what's true and what isn't when it comes to metal. For example I was walking along in my Medulla Nocte - Laughing at Tragedy T-shirt just a few days ago. Someone has approached me "You alright, man? Are you a grunger?!" Well...I could have rearranged him there, man! Grunge?! What the hell is he thinking!? Here I am wearing a Medulla Nocte shirt - with DEAD PEOPLE on the back saying "I never knew that death was so much fun" and he's asking me if I'm into grunge?! Anyway, I turned round and I said to him "No. I am not a grunger. I am a metaller, there's a difference!" And he's gone to me, "Why do you dress like a grunger then?" Yes...I dress like a grunger...So I said to him "I don't dress like a grunger. I don't dress like anything. I wear jeans and a T-shirt of a band I like and I leave it at that. I don't believe in image" and he's said to me "Who are Mmmfmmur mmurr?" "Medulla Nocte?" and he's gone "yeah!" and I said to him "They're kind of hard to explain really kind of death..." and he's gone "Like Slipknot?" I'm sorry...I HAD to walk away from him...People around here are ignorant to metal...Which is why I started this site. Why search high and low - and often not find - a metal magazine aimed at the fans of the extreme scene, when I could get reviews from other extreme fans online? So that's just a little bit of history. Now down to business...

The AIM of Extreme Scene Review

What I aim to do with this site is get together a community of metal heads and talk about and exchange reviews and opinions about metal releases old and new. There will be a section to discuss new releases and a section to discuss older releases. I will also be introducing an external forum based on Ezview.com so that instead of e-mailing me everything to post onto the site we can have a proper discussion in a tie-in forum! Check out the rest of the site...More coming soon!

P.S. I'm into the extreme scene i.e. Gore, death, grind etc...But my true passion is for power metal...So power metallers make yourselves at home...I will love you if you love Nightwish especially

About Myself

Here's a little about me for any of you who are imterested....Basically my name is Lee and I'm from a small unknown town in England called Leigh-On-Sea. I'm 16 years old and am a Power Metaller. My fave band in the entire world is Nighwish followed very closely by Blind Guardian, Rhapsody, Luca Turilli, Hammerfall, Dream Evil, Dragonland, Dragonforce, Power Quest, Edguy, Tarot and plenty of other power metal bands. I am also heavily into Nasum and Nile and any kind of Scandinavian Black metal band. I like going to concerts and seeing different bands play. I play guitar and own many of them. I also play the bass and the banjo. I am into Fantasy novels and movies and enjoy the novels of Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman. I also think Robert Rankin is an amusing man! Anything else you might want to know? Just ask me. You can add me on MSN Messenger as coollivindopegrowinmindblowinpeacelovinfreedomfytinbongsmokin420@hotmail.com Or AIM: HRGigerRox (I'm heavily into surreal and gothic artwork).
That's all about me for now.
